書法大師 King Blotto III 的本名為Seiji Catalado，出生在東京的他在23歲時逛到了一間古董筆店，在店員向他介紹這些歷史超過100年的古董筆與草寫書法藝品時，他深深被書法字體的魅力給動容，並開始練習手寫字體。

然而在這之前，他其實是一位音樂系的學生，在持續進修音樂專業時，偶爾就會把練習手寫書法的影片上傳到社群網站，沒想到他寫得一手好字開始吸引合作邀約，讓他得到Logo設計、婚禮看板設計、餐廳Menu設計等工作，Seiji表示，雖然成為一位手寫字體藝術家並不是他的本意，但他也樂在其中，現在做手寫體的平面設計反而成為他的主要收入來源，他也笑著說：「這樣可以有更多的經濟資源去進修音樂也不錯！」
